- Dr. Brian Kwon received the inaugural Turnbull-Tator Award in Spinal Cord Injury and Concussion Research.
- Dr. Annie Ciernia was awarded a SickKids-CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health Grant for her project, The role of Baf53b in regulating neuronal gene expression, synaptic function and autism behaviours across development.
- FRAXA Research Foundation has awarded a $30,000 research grant to principal investigator Dr. Brian Christie to investigate whether boosting the hormone adiponectin can effectively treat Fragile X syndrome. The Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada is providing an additional $15,000 for the project.
- Congratulations to our Fall 2019 Innovation Fund Trainee Award Recipients!
- Dr. Lakshmi Yatham has been named a Highly Cited Research in a list compiled by Clarivate Analytics. Dr. Ian Mackenzie was also named.
- Dr. Lakshmi Yatham was awarded a Health Achievement Award in recognition of his innovation and exceptional contributions to the progression of healthcare and the field of medicine at the at the 2019 Drishti Awards on November 15.
- UBC Psychology 10th in the world, first in Canada according to 2020 Times Higher Education.
