Full Member
Dr. Kozlowski obtained an MSc degree in physics from the Jagiellonian University, and a PhD degree in physics from the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Krakow, Poland. He moved to Canada in 1989 to work at the National Research Council in Ottawa and Winnipeg. He joined UBC in 2001, where he is now an Associate Professor in the Departments of Radiology and Urologic Sciences and the Director of the UBC MRI Research Centre.
Dr. Kozlowski’s main research interest is in the development of novel MRI techniques for prostate cancer diagnosis, as well as studying pre-clinical models of human diseases, with specific focus on spinal cord injury.
Dr. Kozlowski’s main research interest is in the development and application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy (MRI/MRS) technology to study pre-clinical models of human diseases, and the development of novel MRI-based diagnostic techniques for prostate cancer. The pre-clinical research is mostly related to spinal cord injury models and MRI techniques to characterize the biophysical basis of these models.
