Dr. Maggie Clarke, originally from Nova Scotia, obtained her PhD at the University of Washington. There, she used neuroimaging techniques to study the networks involved in speech and language during development. In 2022 she joined ImageTech Lab at Simon Fraser University as the head of the Magnetoencephalography (MEG) program. Her current research focuses on identifying biomarkers in the brain that can aid in the treatment of speech and language disorders as well as using MEG to improve surgical outcomes in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
