Research Information
Dr. Illes’ research, teaching and service focus on ethical, legal, social and policy challenges at the intersection of the brain sciences and biomedical ethics. This includes empirical inquiry and the development of evidence-based guidance for advanced neurotechnology, prediction of neurologic disease, neurodegeneration and regenerative medicine, neurodevelopment, international and cross-cultural challenges in brain research, medical decision-making, and the commercialization of health and well-being.
